don’t know if I can make it to this event. The first Kpop Convention was a huge success even if wasn’t that big of an event. I wish I’ll have more money this month so I can go and buy some merch again. The second Kpop Convention is really something this time. The proceeds will go to Gawad Kalinga which is a charitable organization. And so this time Kpop fans will actually get to help and enjoy at the same time. I also want to see the cover groups who won last time. There was a bit of controversy surrounding that past event when some of the participants complained to the organizers that the judges weren’t fair in judging the cover groups. Well I wasn’t there and I’m not an expert so how would I know right? That’s all over and done with anyways. Cover groups are rising to fame as much as the original nowadays. I won’t be surprised if they get featured somewhere in Arirang or KBS.

Yesterday I saw this program on KBS where they featured Japan and tackled how big the Hallyu Wave is in Japan these days. Well it all started with Tohoshinki right? I think the Japanese are still crazy over Toho even though they already disbanded. But I was surprised to read an article in Omona that Toho is releasing a new single soon. I was confused since I thought they already disbanded but I guess Avex wants to squeeze out everything from Toho before all this craziness dies out permanently. Sooner or later people will accept that Toho is no longer around and that JYJ is the new trio while the other members (I don’t know all of Toho’s members) will engage in solo activities. It’s a pity that after nine years of being together they end up this way. I think that SME is really partly to blame with this matter. I hope this gets settled soon so everyone can move on from this controversy which has lasted about a year and six months already..? When news broke out that Toho was going through some trouble I was only beginning to be a fan. That was the time they released their Japanese single Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimatandaro. I really love that song and thought that Toho was finally reaching their full potential as singers. I didn’t like their past songs. It’s a little too cute and something about the videos looked ridiculous. JYJ’s Ayyy Girl is horrendous by the way >.< It really sucks. I’m still wondering how they got Kanye to collaborate with them. The group doesn’t suck it’s just that the songs they release do not fit them. Watch the MV and see for yourself. That was the type of video they made before. This is a new generation of Kpop they should be advancing like other idol groups. That type of MV was the reason I hated boy groups in the past. Seriously.

I am excited to watch Taecyeon and Wooyoung’s drama on KBS. It’s a good thing it’ll air on KBS but I don’t know yet if it’ll be on KBS2 or KBS World. If it’s on KBS2 then that would really suck because I won’t be able to watch it >.< i’m excited for Wooyoung since this is a first for him. And I want to see how much Taec has improved since his last drama. His character in Cinderella’s Stepsister was really adorable ^-^ His Satoori (accent ) was really great in that drama.Besides this drama features other idol stars like Suzy and Eun Jung so I’m eager to watch it. There’s not much to watch on KBS nowadays since the stars in the dramas now are all unknown. But I still watch them though because they have nice realistic stories. The good thing about watching these dramas is that I learn more and more of Korean culture, Plus, my grandparents also watch KBS now. Isn’t that amazing? First I find out my mum likes these groups I know from Japan and now my grandparents like Korean stuff. Haha.

2ne1 I beg of you to stop using autotune. Jebal! is it just me or is the autotuning going way overboard? You know Psy is right. When artists use autotune excessively it hides their true singing skills. I believe 2ne1 cansing. But why are YG and Teddy oppa playing with too much autotune? I get it. It’s the trend these days but excessive usage destroys the music >.< Lip-syncing is bad enough and now they use autotune to cover up what they are lacking. I’m disappointed I don’t even know what to say.

Not feeling Sistar’s new song How Dare You. First, the title doesn’t match the catchy-happy tempo of the song. It makes me confused as to what the song really means. Second, the MV is nothing special. Maybe if they really went for the pole dancing as everyone has expected it would come out strong. But this is not their fault since broadcast stations made it clear that the pole dancing concept will not make it on television. But you know pole dancing can be used for exercise. I mean shouldn’t be perceived as something dirty. i’m sure they could have done a great job at it without the sleaziness.

What’s great about some artists is that they really take their time to sharpen their skills and produce something worthy of their large fanbase. I criticize these idol stars because I had high expectations for them but I got less. I hope they live up to the publicity and popularity that they are getting because there are tons of talented people out there who don’t get the same attention even if they deserve it.

I can’t hate Big Bang because they always come up with something great. ‘Nuf said ^-^
