Gazerock will never die \m/ And that concludes this post. Lool . Of course when it comes to Gazette I have a lot to say. Anyway I found this on live journal and thought of spreading the word. So nice to see them again after months.

I swear there’s something different about Ruki. But I can’t seem to put a finger on it. I still ship his voice though. i’d marry it if I could hee hee. When Aoi played the acoustic it was like Cassis all over again ♥♥♥ I miss hearing Uruha’s guitar solos. I don’t ever want to go deaf because then I won’t be able to hear his solos. Shame. Oh and I love Kai’s hair! He totally rocked it. He should keep it even though its just extensions. But his eyebrows look weird though O.o It’s probably shaved and drawn hehe XD

Argh :/ GD and TOP are released a a preview of their song just today. Sigh. But I can’t listen to it yet because I’m restricting myself from Kpop updates during weekdays  So sad I can’t listen to it now but I have to restrain myself. They should have released it on a weekend instead.

It’s a good thing there’s livejournal and wordpress  At least I allowed myself to post blogs during weekdays. But I can’t read updates on livejournal either because that would be cheating. It’s just like a year ago when my laptop broke down and I didn’t have any computer for 3 months. Those were difficult months. Lool. How superficial of me. But it was really like rehab. And then when I got a new computer I wasn’t  very eager to go online for a couple of months. But like an addiction, it came back and here I am again spending too much time in front of the computer. Sigh. So I have to restrain myself. I can do this. Fight-oh!

Oooh gtop is trending on twitter. Yesterday taecweloveyou was also trending in second place. I was surprised but I get what Hottest are doing. Taec made a good decision cancelling his green card and choosing to enlist in the army. People may not understand but that’s a noble thing to do. He would’ve got away with not being obligated to enlist but he cancelled his green card. It’s so patriotic if him. Ok Taecyeon, I’m proud of you. Haters gonna hate but I believe you have pure intentions.

Yes, I keep promising on posting a fanfic but papers that I need to pass keep piling up but I think I passed the last one for this year already. So how about I post chapter one now?  Let me just find where I’ve written it. They’re kind of written in random papers. Haha.

I’m watching news right now and this person was imprisoned for 15 years but it turns out he was innocent. That sucks. He just wasted 15 years of his life. This is why some oppressed people choose not to fight for justice. The process is too slow and it takes years to solve a case.

This guy is Lee SeoHyuk and he was in 2ne1′s It Hurts MV. Isn’t he gorgeous? He started out as a YG model and now he’s an upcoming actor I think. Anyway, a few weeks ago I stumbled across this article on Omona about him and his girlfriend who also happens to be an actor. They split up unfortunately. Well that’s what happens when you have a career to build.

Wassap?!? Hahaha ^0^ It’s only exactly two weeks left before Christmas. Does it feel like Christmas? I don’t know. As you get older other things come into play. That’s just how it is. When I was kid, I didn’t have priorities. I didn’t have burden myself with things. There was only play. I believed that Santa would come every Christmas eve and bring me my gift. But now there’s no more Santa because I’ve realized that things don’t just appear with just a wish. It’s not as simple as that and it never was. I am older now, an adult actually. Last Wednesday I saw the film The Nativity Story, and you know what? I discovered a lot of things I didn’t know and didn’t care to know before. I didn’t know that Mary and Joseph’s marriage was actually an arranged marriage and that Mary didn’t marry Joseph willingly. It was because of bride price that Mary ended up with Joseph. But then again Mary should consider herself lucky because Joseph for me is the ultimate ideal man. Yes, Joseph, Jesus’ surrogate father. I saw Glee this morning and the episode was about Christmas. There I noticed how much people have forgotten that this event should be more about Christ andnot Santa Claus. It appears that Santa is more of an icon than Jesus is. People have forgotten who they should be honoring for this event. How sad.

Yesterday Dec. 10, we celebrated Meggy’s birthday. Jodi also celebrated hers in the same week hehe. Anyway we ate at McDonald’s and had a little fun with the camera. This is a nice photo, isn’t it? It’s so…natural. Nyahaha ^^. We only have a week left in school before the Christmas break yipeee. Actually we planned a small party and swimming on the 17th so we’re all looking forward to that. We aren’t doing much in classes either. Just reaction papers here and there and a couple of quizzes. Next year is a much busier year I guess. We have prelims when we come back and TBS and then finals. Then in the summer we have to enroll for NSTP2 and go back to the rehab center we went to last time for project implementation. I plan on enrolling for level 2 in Nihongo in the summer as well. I hope I can. If I don’t maybe guitar lessons then? If I knew that MC was also offering music classes then I would’ve also enrolled in that. It was difficult to attend all of  my level 1 Nihongo classes because the schedules keep getting in conflict with my other activities. It was actually unwise of me to enroll. I thought there wouldn’t be any conflict but I guess I was wrong. Nonetheless I was able to study Nihongo. It’s been two months since our lessons ended. I actually miss my Nihongo teacher. Maybelle sensei, aitakute! She was really nice and I was amused by how she looked. She was looked very Japanese even though she wasn’t. I’ll try to follow her advice and watch as many anime or live action I can. Actually it really works. That’s why I know more Korean because I watch Korean shows  more than Japanese. Well duh, NHK doesn’t offer subtitles so I really don’t have much of a choice anyways. Studies, studies, studies it’s harder to get to the top now. Or even get somewhere close to the top. Papers are lifesavers in college. Now I realize that haha. I want to do better this semester because I have a goal. And I thought it best for me if I focus only on that goal. So now I’m trying not put my energy in things unnecessary. I’m trying eliminate things in my head to make room for the more relevant things. And so to do this, I have decided to avoid the internet world as much as I can. Of course I’ll still bog because I promised I would. And this helps in the elimination process, I think. For this week I’ve avoided being on social media sites, kpop related websites and whatnot. It’s best for me if I can see only what I’m supposed to be focused on. And right now, there’s only one thing I want, will and wish for the most. And I should be set only on that.

I’ve finally decided to get this type of cut first. This is all new to me and I’m just experimenting. i’ve never tried short hair in my existence. So I’ve decided to test it first and if it looks good then i’ll go for something edgier like this.

I do have a lot of options but it’s probably wise to go for something safe and simple first before i do something drastic. Anyway, I know I won’t stand out as there are lots of girls in MC sporting a boy cut. We probably have the most population when it comes to short brown/blond-ish hair. Lool.

If you’ve seen the YG Family Diary I want that as a planner but I sooo want this one too. The sad thing is I can’t get any of the two, at least in time for 2011. From what I know YG diary is only available online and that sucks. Cuz if it wasn’t then by all means I can probably get myself one. I’m just gonna look for a good planner somewhere and hopefully this move will get me inspired to organize my life once and for all.

So I’ve been meaning to post a fan fiction I’ve written over a year ago. It was my first and it turned out pretty weird. Haha. I guess that’s what happens when you write something without deciding on which direction it should go. It is an odd one and so it is very me. I had fun writing it. But I had the most fun writing my second fic which I don’t have a copy because I gave it away. The story wasn’t for me but for a friend. I had fun writing that one because I played with the characters which is cruel I know.

But before I do that I must get this over with first.

Lee Seunggi’s hilarious fall at the Golden Disc Awards. Oh yeah, the GDA was held this week and I wasn’t able to watch it. I was avoiding the net and when I finally logged on I just read the news and everything was about GDA. Lee Seunggi is such a sweet and decent guy buy that fall was just hilarious. And the chair broke lool. Anyway the rest of the video was boring. Let’s just talk about the performances.

Beast performed  Shock and Soom (Breath) and the also won the rookie award for this year. Sure they won and they’ve been getting better and better since they debuted but this performance was a bit lacking. I think it’s the presence. I didn’t feel anything when they were performing. I like to look out for their stages but this one is just flat for me. The background was great with the laser and all. It’s just really them that’s lacking. They should perform with the same energy when they perform Beautiful on stage. it would have been a great opportunity to prove they deserved the award.

This was the best stage of the night for me. Shinee really came back with something powerful this year. I really noticed them this time. I used to know them as the one who sang an OST for Boys Over Flowers. Well this time I know the as Shinee. A complete reversal of positions for Jonghyun and Minho. i was wondering what Jjong was doing just sitting on that chair and then I remembered he has an injury. I guess he hasn’t fully recovered yet since he couldn’t dance. When they came back it was Minho who had an injury. Anyways Jjong’s powerful voice still made me notice him. And at the end it was kinda funny cuz they were obviously enjoying the fog machine. Hahaha.

Also lacking in the presence department, Miss A’s opening was strong and then kinda went downhill a bit. And were was Suzy? Filming maybe? Anyway they should have worked it more. i like the costumes though.

Best ballad group of all. Chukae 2AM for winning! At last they are being recognized. When Can’t Send You Away was released it was their ticket to stardom. From then they totally changed image and became very well-known. Aw Jinwoon’s hair is black again. Every time I see him I feel so happy for him. I saw how he got to where he is now and he almost didn’t make it in the beginning because people overlooked his singing ability just because he couldn’t dance. i love both songs. 2AM have such heavenly voices.

CN Blue! (sings) waetoriya, waetoriya da da di di da da doo ♫ I like this song very much. And the title works too haha. Waetoriya (I’m a Loner). The jazz version is cool. I think that they have exceeded FT Island although I also like FTI. But not as much as CN Blue. And I didn’t know Yonghwa’s voice was that beautiful ^-^ They should do more jazz stuff. It’ll make stand out more and have a distinct sound. ♫Love love love. Everybody clap clap clap ♫

Sorry Sorry was a bit off don’t you think? Well that’s what I think. Maybe because the song arrangement was hard to sing along to. And it really was. I couldn’t understand if it was slow or fast. I would be confused too. The camera shouldn’t have shot from aerial view too. The alignment was a bit off as well. I know I keep pointing the negatives but I’m just not used to watching them like this. Something was really off. They even look a disoriented. Maybe lack of practice? I mean they do have their own variety show to film and they haven’t been on stage for months. Where is the synchronized Suju I know? I didn’t see that in the video that’s all. As for Bonaman, I really like the choreography. That’s all I can say. Haha. The singing was… off too. Or was it the sound quality? Maybe. Siwon has holding his mic a lot maybe there was a problem with it. Anyway, Kyuhyun should keep those sunglasses. I almost didn’t recognize Eunhyuk with his mushroom hair ^0^

One last thing. The camera sucks. The shots were either too far or too near that I couldn’t see everyone who was performing on stage. Eff >.< That’s the problem I always have with these music shows. Capture good angles please!
Sure enough I always save the BEST for last. When I say best I usually mean The Gazette hehe. Weeks ago they came out with a new PV which I was able to watch just today. Shame, I know. Anyway I believe this is a first for them to feature an Asian girl in their PVs. Aside from the two young girls they used before though. The feel is a lot different now. Something about Ruki changed. Maybe because it’s produced by Sony that it seems different. It looks… simpler? I mean the meaning is easier to get. Unlike with the others it takes some time and I have to watch it again and again to understand what the connection with the song is.

I like his guitar. It’s Shinji’s (my guitar) uncle. Haha. Yeah I see Miyavi as my uncle got a problem with that? Come out here and I’ll crush you! LOLJK. Of course i’m kidding. But anyone can dream right. i look up to him like he’s my uncle. That’s better than having this major crush on him though. Plus he’s married so I’m totally hands off (nods). I totally missed these updates on jrock revolution. Even though I follow MYV on twitter all I know is that he’s on his second world tour O.o

OMGee LUNA SEA is back after 3 years! Or was it? According to the video it’s been 3 years. When they went on hiatus I wasn’t a fan of Japanese rock yet. But I do know this. Luna Sea is a very influential rock band who has inspired a lot of other Japanese rock bands of today. And Sugizo the guitarist is the person whom Uruha (The Gazette) looks up to. They are really great and I have no doubt about that. I’m thrilled to find out they are playing together as a band again. From the video I see that they had difficulties as a band which is maybe the cause of their hiatus. I hope they don’t disband after this tour and continue to make Luna Sea music \m/ I wish can watch their concert but hello? like I can! Haha. That’s just sad >.<

To those who can watch them in play live again. Damn. I envy you! News like these make me more depressed I’m not in Japan right now >.<

I had to put a caption because I still forget their names sometimes. If you don’t know them they are an all girl band. Yes. All-girl band. You. Read. That. Right. (nods) Even only one of them (Miko) looks like a girl don’t be deceived. Haha. They will be performing at Sakura-Con in North America. That means Canada right? Oh well, I guess Visual Kei is going global this coming year. They already are global but not many really know them.

Nothing is really happening in my life. Aside from the fast-paced 2nd semester which worries me that I should get a move on with things so I can end this semester better than the first one.

don’t know if I can make it to this event. The first Kpop Convention was a huge success even if wasn’t that big of an event. I wish I’ll have more money this month so I can go and buy some merch again. The second Kpop Convention is really something this time. The proceeds will go to Gawad Kalinga which is a charitable organization. And so this time Kpop fans will actually get to help and enjoy at the same time. I also want to see the cover groups who won last time. There was a bit of controversy surrounding that past event when some of the participants complained to the organizers that the judges weren’t fair in judging the cover groups. Well I wasn’t there and I’m not an expert so how would I know right? That’s all over and done with anyways. Cover groups are rising to fame as much as the original nowadays. I won’t be surprised if they get featured somewhere in Arirang or KBS.

Yesterday I saw this program on KBS where they featured Japan and tackled how big the Hallyu Wave is in Japan these days. Well it all started with Tohoshinki right? I think the Japanese are still crazy over Toho even though they already disbanded. But I was surprised to read an article in Omona that Toho is releasing a new single soon. I was confused since I thought they already disbanded but I guess Avex wants to squeeze out everything from Toho before all this craziness dies out permanently. Sooner or later people will accept that Toho is no longer around and that JYJ is the new trio while the other members (I don’t know all of Toho’s members) will engage in solo activities. It’s a pity that after nine years of being together they end up this way. I think that SME is really partly to blame with this matter. I hope this gets settled soon so everyone can move on from this controversy which has lasted about a year and six months already..? When news broke out that Toho was going through some trouble I was only beginning to be a fan. That was the time they released their Japanese single Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimatandaro. I really love that song and thought that Toho was finally reaching their full potential as singers. I didn’t like their past songs. It’s a little too cute and something about the videos looked ridiculous. JYJ’s Ayyy Girl is horrendous by the way >.< It really sucks. I’m still wondering how they got Kanye to collaborate with them. The group doesn’t suck it’s just that the songs they release do not fit them. Watch the MV and see for yourself. That was the type of video they made before. This is a new generation of Kpop they should be advancing like other idol groups. That type of MV was the reason I hated boy groups in the past. Seriously.

I am excited to watch Taecyeon and Wooyoung’s drama on KBS. It’s a good thing it’ll air on KBS but I don’t know yet if it’ll be on KBS2 or KBS World. If it’s on KBS2 then that would really suck because I won’t be able to watch it >.< i’m excited for Wooyoung since this is a first for him. And I want to see how much Taec has improved since his last drama. His character in Cinderella’s Stepsister was really adorable ^-^ His Satoori (accent ) was really great in that drama.Besides this drama features other idol stars like Suzy and Eun Jung so I’m eager to watch it. There’s not much to watch on KBS nowadays since the stars in the dramas now are all unknown. But I still watch them though because they have nice realistic stories. The good thing about watching these dramas is that I learn more and more of Korean culture, Plus, my grandparents also watch KBS now. Isn’t that amazing? First I find out my mum likes these groups I know from Japan and now my grandparents like Korean stuff. Haha.

2ne1 I beg of you to stop using autotune. Jebal! is it just me or is the autotuning going way overboard? You know Psy is right. When artists use autotune excessively it hides their true singing skills. I believe 2ne1 cansing. But why are YG and Teddy oppa playing with too much autotune? I get it. It’s the trend these days but excessive usage destroys the music >.< Lip-syncing is bad enough and now they use autotune to cover up what they are lacking. I’m disappointed I don’t even know what to say.

Not feeling Sistar’s new song How Dare You. First, the title doesn’t match the catchy-happy tempo of the song. It makes me confused as to what the song really means. Second, the MV is nothing special. Maybe if they really went for the pole dancing as everyone has expected it would come out strong. But this is not their fault since broadcast stations made it clear that the pole dancing concept will not make it on television. But you know pole dancing can be used for exercise. I mean shouldn’t be perceived as something dirty. i’m sure they could have done a great job at it without the sleaziness.

What’s great about some artists is that they really take their time to sharpen their skills and produce something worthy of their large fanbase. I criticize these idol stars because I had high expectations for them but I got less. I hope they live up to the publicity and popularity that they are getting because there are tons of talented people out there who don’t get the same attention even if they deserve it.

I can’t hate Big Bang because they always come up with something great. ‘Nuf said ^-^
